CamCon 2013 Online Application

CAMCON is a three day event (April 27-29), filled with workshops, seminars, and demonstrations that help UCSB students grow as cinematographers. Seminars and workshops will be taught by representatives from companies and professionals from the Hollywood film industry.

Students interested in attending CAMCON should plan to be available from 9:00am-6:00pm on Saturday and Sunday in addition to an optional day in Los Angeles on Monday. If you cannot commit to Monday, please note it on your application. If you cannot commit to Saturday and Sunday, please do not apply.

CAMCON is designed to allow students to grow over the three days, by building knowledge from workshop to workshop. By the end of the weekend, students will have been introduced to working with cameras, lighting, and grip equipment, and in general have gained confidence in the art of cinematography. This weekend was planned to accommodate students at all levels, from beginners to experienced, so don't be afraid to apply.

Class size is limited, so this application will serve to help select individuals to participate in CAMCON. The event is open to all UCSB students regardless of major. Please complete the following and turn it in to the Film and Media Studies Department Office, SSMS 2433 by 3:00pm on April 19th. Or, if you are completing this application online, please do so before the deadline.

Chosen applicants will be notified via email by APRIL 20th. On APRIL 22nd, there will be an informational meeting about the weekend. At that time attendees can pay their $45 fee.
